PL-SE01
Description:
This juvenile organization of voluntary character, located in Ventanilla in the suburbs of Lima, is shaped by young people of different beliefs and political thoughts yet all with same spirit of making their community the best place to live. Young people are taught to be responsible citizens, compromised with the needs of their community, and participate in after-school programs with either educational, recreational, artistic or social focus.

There are several projects running:
- Early Stimulation Program (from April until December) Educational activities are organised for children from 2 to 5 years of age, in different areas of Ventanilla, with about 15 to 25 children per classroom. Here, volunteers will work approximately 1 to 2 hours per day, usually in the mornings.
- Educational Program “Learn while teaching” (from April until November) Educational activities are set up to compliment the formation that the minors have at school. Examples are workshops in good behaviour, sports activities, acquisition of new skills and activities of cultural exchange with the international volunteers. Here, volunteers will work approximately 1 to 2 hours per day, usually in the afternoons.
- Social Activities (always as compliment on one of the above programs) Minors in situation of abandonment, lodged in minors' centres or children communities, are taught values of solidarity and love and participate in recreational and sports activities, educational modules and artistic workshops such as drawing, painting and theatre. These activities are realized in monthly visits during the whole year, and are completed alongside your work in the other projects.
- Social Program “Learn in summer” (dates to be advised) This special summer program has been developed to offer children and adolescents a set of activities in order to make good use of their free time over the summer period.
- International Work Camp At this camp, 15 to 20 young people from different parts of the world join in a project that contributes to the improvement of the life of youngsters.
