SOCIAL PROJECT ABA-SE17 IN ARGENTINA

This is a therapeutic home in Buenos Aires for boys who are between 10 and 20 years old. In general these boys come from the streets or from domestic violence, abuse or poor backgrounds. There are about 25 boys living there at a time. Some of them have mental disorders and behaviour problems. They want to build a playroom for the boys at the home, and fix the beautiful building because it is old and in bad shape. Boys go to the school in different shifts, and some of them sometimes stay at home.

Volunteers can help with different activities, workshops and classes such as music, arts, language, excursions, etc. It is particularly important to share time and recreation with the boys. Those working at this volunteer project are highly encouraged to propose activities themselves and to work independently. During certain weeks of the year, the boys might be participating in outdoor activities / camps and thus there is less work to do at the project itself. In these situations, volunteers might be placed internally at our volunteer coordination center where you will be assisting in various organizational and promotional activities.
